The summer months brought a large number of notes and clippings from various classmates, for which many thanks. It seems like only last week that we wrote our last column and here it is time to start another college year.

We want to pay tribute to Herm Schnepel and his hard working assistants for the improvement shown in the final Alumni Fund figures. We raised as a class $14,995.52, an increase of $2367 over last year, and there were 123 who increased their gifts. While we did not attain our objective of $20,440, we are on our way back toward our rightful place among our contemporary classes. Herm certainly deserves a big hand for the terrific organization and campaign carried on in his first year. Thanks are also due John Neary and StewHoagland for the '28 Campaigner which all the class enjoyed reading.
