I am in receipt of a letter from Prexy Hopkins in which I am sure you would all be interested:

A very signal honor has been bestowed upon your classmate Thurlow Gordon. He has been elected president of the Pot and Kettle Club of Bar Harbor. This is an old established club dating back to the first settlement of the summer colony on Mount Desert Island. It has a sharply restricted membership and a wealth of traditions centered about outstanding names of those who have held memberships. Always heretofore it has been assumed that officials should be residents of Bar Harbor but the affection and respect for Thurlow were so great that he was unanimous choice for this distinguished honor."

The reunion committee is working on the program for next June, so send any suggestions to Thurlow as promptly as possible. Now is the time to make your plans to be in Hanover next June. We want every classmate and his family present and also the widows and their families.

And speaking of Hanover, Mr. and Mrs.Lyman Frazier were guests at the Hanover Inn the first of September.

And Art Chapin was in Hanover on September 16 and 17 to attend the meeting of the Bequest Chairmen.

Bill Wood has entirely recovered from his recent operation and is back on the job. He writes that his seventh grandchild arrived in August.

Two more classmates passed away this summer: Joe Tufts on August 29 and Dr. AlbertHeyhoe on September 8.
