We are glad to report that Chan Cox, who has been in the hospital in Boston, is improving every day and will be home very soon Frank and Elsie Cudworth had a grand time in St. Pete. Cuddy endeavored to get others to join him at the Dartmouth Luncheon held March 9, but none could make it, so he and Elsie represented the class at that affair.
Johnnie Ward has returned home from a few weeks in Florida and is busy as usual. With his own business, plus serving as president of the Essex Savings Bank, and now the Alumni Fund in full swing, he sure is right out straight. Let's help him all we can and get our contributions to him in good season, for he is doing a grand job as Class Agent. The way he keeps us up among the top classes deserves all the support we can give him.... Mortie Crowell also has had a good time in Florida and he was indeed glad to be able to attend the Dartmouth Luncheon at Orlando and to sit with Clarence Phelps and FrankHalliday.
Herb Woods '10 and Steve Stevens recently rounded up a small group of Dartmouth men located in the Lower Connecticut Valley for an informal gathering at the Griswold Inn in Essex. As far as we know, this was the first time such a group from this vicinity had got together, but the old Dartmouth Spirit was very much in evidence as enthusiasm ran high, and a grand time was had by all. As frequently happens these days, Steve was the oldest alumnus present, but it was interesting to note the span of classes from 1901 to 1953.
