It's time for April showers and May flowers. It's time, too, for the Alumni Fund drive to begin. If you haven't already answered AlBildner's early letter, please do so now.

A fine letter from Fritz Alexander recently tells of a successful local 1947 dinner February 2 at the Dartmouth Club of New York. At that time those present made plans for a revitalization of the regional organization. This New York dinner was attended by seventeen '47s; Ron Schiavone, Don Armistead, Austin O'Toole, Norm Falkin, Art Hendler, Paul Henegan, George Duncan, Andy McCulloch, Sid Lishner, Bob Frank, Bob Widholm, Ed Brophy, Bernie O'Shea, Bob Snedaker, George Hauze, Tom Gustenhoven, Dexter Brooks, and Fritz himself.

The consensus of opinion was that something affirmative should be done in the very near future to get the gang together again. Consequently they have set April 20 as the next date for a dinner at the Dartmouth Club of New York. Fritz hopes at that time to have a larger turnout and to lay concrete plans for an annual affair of some sort which will keep the organization humming.

Bob Snedaker has circulated to all those present an up-to-date list of all '47s in the New York area. In turn, the area has been broken down into subgroups to more evenly distribute the job of getting the boys out for another affair.

As you will remember, one of the recommendations of the recent class executive committee meeting in New York last December was to revitalize activities on a local basis. Fritz Alexander, present at this meeting, kindly volunteered to direct the New York City area activity, certainly more than a modest undertaking. We are glad to hear he is already seeing the results of his efforts, and the planning the group did last February for the April 20 dinner will also be used to good advantage.

You will remember, too, there will be a meeting of the class executive committee, in Hanover at noon Saturday, May 7, inside the main entrance to the Baker Library. All classmates who can attend are cordially invited.

Recent visitors at the Hanover Inn were Bruce Mather, Donald Arel, Mr. and Mrs. HalClayton, and Manny Benero.
