On the evening of May 2 the North Shore Dartmouth Club presented a preview of the College's famous Hanover Holiday, approximately 150 alumni, their wives and guests, who met for a festive and intellectually stimulating family party. The after-dinner program included timely and exciting talks by James F. Ross, Instructor in Religion, who discussed "The Dead Sea Scrolls" and Richard E. Wagner, Professor of Art, who talked on "Painting a Picture." At this meeting the following officers were elected for the coming year: Edward L. Richardson '29, president; Ralph E. Ardiff '29, vice president; Richard H. Southwick '45, treasurer; Austin R. Knight '48, secretary.

Retiring President Richard D. Hill '41 announced the following winners of the North Shore Dartmouth Club Bowls for outstanding achievements in their respective high schools: Beverly, Frank Bell; Salem, David Sullivan; Marblehead, Edmund G. Bagmilo; Swampscott, Thomas P. Flanigan.

President Richardson appointed a committee consisting of Howard C. Smith Jr. 52, Deighton K. Emmons '2 and Edward R. Haskell '52 to plan a dance at the Corinthian Yacht Club during the month of August; ap- pointed a committee consisting of Harold E. Booma '30, Dr. Robert W. Liming '43 and Dr. Howard Nichols '29 to arrange a suitable sports night program, and a committee consisting of Richard C. Southwick '20, Frank B. Wallis '25 and Ivan Martin to make plans for another Hanover Holiday. John Neary '28 was appointed chairman of publicity and Charles Brown '42 will head the Enrollment Committee. The meeting closed with many of the wives taking home door prizes donated by North Shore Dartmouth alumni.
