This past summer the Cudworths had two Fulbright students at their house for two weeks, one was a Finn, and the other a Greek. Cuddy says it was a very interesting experience . . . . We note the following classmates have enjoyed the hospitality of host "Jim" McFate at the Inn for the past few months: Tom and Inez Remsen, Jim and Floss Kimball, Howard and Gene Hall, and T and May Wood. . . . Bill Sykes had another siege at the hospital, one of the reasons why he did not make the Reunion. He is now feeling quite himself again and gets out to work in his garden every day. Bill is the second oldest man in the class, Toga Brown beating him by about two years. . . . Our deepest sympathy goes out to Frankie Newhall in the loss of his wife Maude last summer. . . . Stanley Qua has resigned as Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. He has been a member of the Supreme Court for 22 years, and Chief Justice for nine. Previous to serving on the Supreme Court, he was an associate justice of the Superior Court, thus having served the state continuously for 34 years. Gov. Herter wrote, "I had taken great pride and satisfaction on behalf of the Commonwealth in the superb reputation of the court under your leadership. I feel that you have built so solidly that the court will carry on under the high standing you have set."
