Hi Again! What follows will be a hodgepodge of miscellaneous information gained in a myriad of ways and completely disorganized. Reason: some guy limited the day to 24 hours and it just isn't long enough.
First, we must sadly report the death of Paul H. Hemmerich in an automobile collision on June I. Details will follow in the obituary section of this or a subsequent issue. The class joins me, I know, in extending to his wife Nancy and his three children our deepest sympathy.
lI Battison wrote some time ago to report that he had a "Bankhart" (you MD's will understand) on his right shoulder last January at Mary Hitchcock by the same doctor who did the same operation on his left shoulder in 1947. Further he returned not long ago from Mary Hitchcock after a two-week treatment for knee trouble. Expected to be literally flat on his back for eight weeks. Hope you are up and rolling by now, AI. His comment summarizing the bouts is: "As the old man of the class, you guys can see what lies ahead in about 10 years." As one of the younger members, your editor can only say, thanks but no thanks.
