Because of the publication of the Alumni Fund list, the powers that run this scandal sheet have asked me to keep this column to a minimum. This is not difficult because there is very little news, but what there is I would like to make available to you.

A daughter, their third, was born to Ed andLorraine O'Brien in West Springfield, Mass. The child will be christened Patricia Marjorie. Ed is with the Bay State Film Producers.

Reverend Arthur Brown is the newly appointed assistant dean of students at the Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He has recently returned after being chairman of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the American University in Cairo.

Lew Johnson is now a firm member of Stevenson and Company, insurance agency in Pittsfield, Mass. Lew also serves as vice-president of the Berkshire insurance agents. Also in for promotion is Earl Harris now president of the Rodney-Hunt Machine Company in Orange, Mass.

John Keefe was kind enough to forward his life's history to me and we find from the statistics that he is the father of two boys, has been married for four years to the former Anne O'Shea and is now the legal beagle for the Textile Bank Company in New York City. He has the occasion to see Mike Frothingham, who also lives in Rye, N. Y., and who works in the same law firm with Larry Johnson. He also says that he has an occasional visit from our sterling swimming champion John Reps.

C. Davis Whittemore is now a member of the married clan and he and his lovely wife will live in White Plains, N. Y., where Whit is with the American Telephone and Telegraph Company.

It is always a very sad thing for me to report a death in the Class and this month it is my unpleasant duty to report two. I am not in a position to know very much of the details when a friend of ours dies in another section of the country, so if any of you have information I would be happy to receive it and transmit it to our class.

Dr. Malcolm McCord died May 27 in Denver, Colo. Unfortunately, I have no more information on his death or the whereabouts of his family.

Dan Kramer was killed when his Air Force jet trainer crashed on the Hempstead Turnpike on October 7. Dan's parents live at 200 North Village Avenue, Rockville Center, L. 1., and he lived at 201 Iris Lane, Montgomery, Ala., with his wife Katherine and his nine-year-old son and his daughter who is eleven. For those of you who can take time, I am sure his family would appreciate a word of kindness.

But to close on a happier note, Ralph Entwistle and his beautiful wife Clyde have sent word that their Miss Lee Merrick, with all her six pounds and nine ounces, will grow into a future carnival date.

Until next month!
