It certainly is about time that we got back into circulation once again after so long an interlude with no news from Atlanta and environs. We'll try to avoid it in the future. But... a family of Kerry Blue Terrier puppies has kept your old scribe rather busy, and with all that it's been right smart coolish down this-away ... cool enough to freeze up the old typing machine so that one cylinder snapped and smashed the "D" key. 'T won't happen again ... don't mean the puppy situation, just the typewriter. Well, that attempt at a good tall excuse was pathetic, so we'd better hie onto brass tacks.

A new slate of officers was hammered in during the last quarter of old 1955: WarrenAgry '45 - President; Alvah Wilson '25 - Vice President; Ed Gingrich '48 - Treasurer; Lou Fortuna '38 - Enrollment Chairman; Dune Dobie '38 - Secretary. Ex-president Fortuna continues to stress the emphasis on his customarily effective enrollment endeavors and will now be able to devote full time to this all-important featured event.

On December 28 the Dartmouth Club of Georgia had its annual Christmas luncheon at Mammy's Shanty here in Atlanta in honor of Dartmouth undergraduates home for the holidays and also for prospective Dartmouth men. The turnout was tremendous - 38 present! We were honored to have several prospective Dartmouth men: Jack Venable, Bruce Craig, Ned Nebers, Jim McKey, and Dallas Champion with father, Wayne Champion. Further honored guests were: Ernie Rogers, father of Wally Rogers '56; Reverend Ray, father of Dick Ray '58; Coach Jernigan from one of the respected secondary schools in Atlanta; and, last but not least, our very good friend, Mr. Ben Gibson, the liaison officer between secondary schools and colleges. Though Bob Cleveland '55 was unable to attend, his dad, Wayne Cleveland, honored us with his presence.

Leading the group in Dartmouth song, Win Snow '14 did a swell job. Lou Fortuna '38 gave a complete and invigorating speech on the future of a very powerful enrollment program. The lasting enchantments of Han- over, as of the minute, were vividly described to the group by Wally Rogers '56, Herb Roskind '57, and Dick Ray '58. We've got the stuff this year .. .just be listening for us!!

TO NOTE: Glad to hear that Hen Sturgess '17 is recovering from his sick siege which lasted most of the summer ... and, MarshMcGough '27, who has also been tied down with illness ... Win Snow '14 with a wrenched back resulting from a kayak trip down one of the most-Indian rivers in the State of Georgia ... Col. Dave Schilling '39, finally recovered from severe hepatitis sufficiently to move to jolly old England from a three-year hitch ... 'nuff about sickness!! Big Red Evans '48, galloping in to the luncheon after a short drive up-country of some 200 miles.... Vail Haak '49, settled down in Atlanta with curbed travel and a German Shepherd. ... What else?
