IN last month's issue we briefly mentioned that the Board of Trustees had gathered in Hanover for its regular January meeting and had taken up, among other matters, an advisory report on the Hopkins Center and also the question of utilizing the grant of two million dollars from the Ford Foundation. Early in February two important news announcements disclosed the Trustees' decisions to go ahead with the building of the Hopkins Center, but on the basis of an entirely new concept, and to put into effect on July 1 faculty salary increases amounting to the estimated annual income from the entire Ford Foundation grant.
