Charlie Merrill writes interestingly about the early days, and in order to get to Hanover how it was necessary for him to leave his home in Kennebunk Port on the 7:25 a.m. train on the five-mile branch line to Kennebunk. There he had to change to the main line, again at Rockingham Junction, and another change at Concord, finally arriving at White River after a long dreary ride through a "God forsaken stretch" from Franklin to the Junction. He recalls his feelings for President Tucker kept growing and expanding under his eloquence and appealing personality, and his appreciation of worldly affairs.

Frank and Elsie Cudworth have returned from their stay in St. Pete, and after the Reunion in Hanover they will leave in a few days for a trip to the British Isles. Cuddy attended the meeting of the Florida West Coast alumni at St. Pete, but was the only one from our class in attendance The sympathy of the class goes out to Harry Clark in the loss of his wife, who passed away last October. Chanand Mary Cox had a most enjoyable three weeks' trip through the Caribbean, thus escaping the bad storms that prevailed in Boston about that time.

Tom and Bess McGovern recently spent a few days in Hanover, enjoying Host McFate's hospitality at the Inn. Tim Donovan now lives in Lawrence, his old home town, with his three sisters. He keeps busy with his hobby of doing inlay work on furniture at which he is very expert, and also enjoys riding about the countryside. He had a successful professional career and retired about five years ago. BillO'Leary and he were running mates and they came up to Hanover together.

Tom and Inez Remsen arrived home from Florida the first of April. While down there, they had the pleasure of a call on the Eddys. They also saw Joe Raphael on their way home. ... Royal Doane still lives in Newington, Conn., and commutes daily to Hartford where he has connections with the City Iron Works. His daughter Nancy is married to Dr. Frank Boardman, and his daughter Helena has a responsible position with the G. Fox Company in Hartford.

We are in receipt of the 1955 annual report of the Town of WestEord, Mass., and it is without doubt the most complete report we have ever seen. It is all the work of DeaconHildreth, who has served as Town Glerk for nigh on to fifty year, we believe.

Art Redman has probably the two youngest children in the Class, his son Richard is 18 years old, and his daughter Nina is 16. Both are in high school and both are talented musicians. Richard was selected to play the French Horn at the recent Golden Jubilee concert in St. Louis. This is a concert given in connection with the Music Educators Conference and the musicians are drawn from the high school musicians from all the states. Perley Grant announces his marriage to Miss Hazel Grace Freak on June 4, and they now plan to be with us for the Reunion. We must give this newly married couple a most royal welcome.
