Treasurer, 1400 Webster St., Palo Alto, Calif.

Bathing in this Labor Day peace I interrupt long enough to flash through police notices, society pages, and scandal sheets to see what youse guys are doing.

Dick DeVoto was married this past June to Myra June, a senior at U.C.L.A. EnsignTom Healy and Jane Mac Donald also chose the same month to tie the eternal bond. At present the Healy folk live in Newport, R. I., where Tom is stationed. Chuck Honig took time out from his law studies to wed Miss Janice Cohen, a senior at Barnard College. Chuck is presently a student at Rutgers University School of Law.

Lt. Jack Billhardt and his Mrs., the former Pat Lang of Seattle, Wash., are living at Lackland Air Force Base, Tex., where Jack is stationed. Another airman, Lt. Don Singer married Elayne Daniels. Don is serving with the Strategic Air Command stationed at Pine Castle Air Force Base, Orlando, Fla.

A December wedding is in the making for Ensign Win Bridge and Cynthia Dadmun. Out Pittsburgh way Dick Scobie has put the sparkler on Miss Jill Hurst. Dick is studying for his Master's degree at the University of Pittsburgh. Another engagement is EnsignBob Browne and Judith Tanzi. Bob is stationed on the U.S.S. Charles H. Roan in Newport, R. I.

Others headed for the altar are Bob Taft and Marlene Medwin; Ensign Sam Purvis and Anne Granducci; Mike Grunebaum and Marjorie Bleetstein. Let's take a break from all this love stuff.

Wood Sutton has taken a job with Cummins Engine Company, Inc., Columbus, Ind. At present he is residing at 522 Pearl Street, Columbus.

The Klapper brothers, Stu and Stan, have finally been sprung apart by means of Uncle Sam. Stu is a Lt. in the U. S. Army Reserve and is stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Stan is presently employed with Merrill-National Overseas Laboratories in New York City where he is training for marketing and management abroad.

If anyone wants a new precinct map of Hanover and area write to Dave Rice. Dave did this as a part of his Thayer School studies. Dick Fawcett and Dave combined their talents to win first and third place on their engineering papers submitted to the New England section of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Dick's paper was on the use of sil-cement mixture for highways and airports.

Monsanto Chemical Company has added Chuck Ellicott to the payroll. His duties are found under the broad heading of "Ulcers Unlimited" or advertising department.

Wilt Sogg has received an invitation to be- come an editor of the Harvard Law Review. His '56 Newsletters should give him a head start on this new project.

Dick Benoit has been awarded a threemonth fellowship by the National Council to Combat Blindness. This past summer he made radio autographic studies of the cornea at the Marine Biological Laboratories, Woods Hole. These days he can be found at Tufts Medical School.

A second daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dick Reul this past summer. The couple are living in Cambridge, Mass., since Dick will study for two years at the Harvard Medical School.

Let's get a little "Stars and Stripes" action. Eric Valentine has just completed basic training with the Third Infantry Division at Fort Benning, Ga. Along similar lines, Second Lieutenant Ben Taylor was recently graduated from a 14-week associate company officer course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. Pvt. Ron Post is assigned as an operations specialist in the 531st Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion's Headquarters Battery at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S. D. Ron was employed by Deering and Milliken and Co. in New York City before the service.

The Navy's Pacific Fleet has "Lefty" Bergesen somewhere in command. Pvt. Norm Angell has completed an eight-week course at Fort Slocum, N. Y. Norm's job has to do with news writing, press photography and radio and television techniques. Pvt. John Devine won Chutist's Wings of an Army parachutist at Fort Campbell, Ky. Graduated from the officer basic course at Quantico, Va., recently was Marine Sec. Lt. Dick Whitney. Dick's training included everything from first aid to map reading. That's the Marines for you!

The old Shakespearean pun "Is there a doctor in the house?" shouldn't bother Dick Thorp and his new bride, Rosamond Wheeler. The new bride is in the fourth-year of a five-year nursing program given by Hood College and the School of Nursing at Mass. General Hospital. Dick is now attending Boston University School of Medicine. It's a simple case of Medical Families "merging."

June 25 brought a remarkable change to your secretary - the change was Phyllis Pack of Radcliffe fame. She threatens to wear red, not green at the Dartmouth-Harvard game but we'll see.
