The December meeting of the Virginia alumni was a luncheon at the Downtown Club in Richmond during the Christmas holidays. We met on December 27 and had as our guests prospective students from this area as well as several undergraduates. The undergraduates gave interesting talks about life at Dartmouth, a great help in presenting to the prospects a first-hand picture of life in the New Hampshire hills. The undergraduate group included: Tom Lanier '60,Ton Cohen '60, Murray Janus '60, Mel Converse '60, Bob Sterling '57, Nathan Metzger second year Tuck School, and Jacques Bry '58
The above students gave a very good account of themselves. The reaction that we have had so far from prospective students indicates that these boys did the proper selling job.
Alumni who attended the meeting included: Winchester Ewell '45, Morton Thaihimer Jr. '46, Lee Hodgkins 'so, Larry Reeves '33, Henry Gunst '41, Frank Lowden '37, Bob Munson '14, Paul Gibson '15, Newman Hamblet '35, Chuck Sweeney '48, Chick Thompson '36, and Roger Johnson '25. In all we had about forty in attendance and indications are that this will become an annual affair.
