This fall the activities of the Dartmouth Club of Western Pennsylvania have followed traditional lines. Dartmouth Night was celebrated on October 19 with cocktails and dinner at the University Club. Ray Scott, popular radio and TV sports announcer, was the speaker for the evening. His description of the preparation involved in making a sports broadcast was very interesting and entertaining.

Later on in the fall Rem Drury '48 launched this year's enrollment campaign with a luncheon for the local high school principals and college advisors. Frank Logan '52, Assistant Dean of Admissions for the College, was the speaker. George Scott '25, President of the Club, presided over the meeting and told the guests that Dartmouth was interested in their best college candidates. Rem also took advantage of Frank Logan's presence to arrange a get-together for the boys who have already applied to Dartmouth. This meeting was held at the home of Ed Chinlund '29. There were about 30 boys in attendance at this meeting. Frank showed the boys and alumni a new college movie which extols the marvels of the College, Hanover, and its environs.

Following the football season, line coach jack Musick spent about ten days in Pitts burgh renewing his contacts with the local high school coaches. His stay in the area spanned that o£ Frank Logan.

In December there was a cocktail party and the annual Father and Son Luncheon. Breaking from previous practice, the only speeches at the luncheon were a few remarks from undergraduates. It is always a pleasure to get together with the boys, see how the college jargon has changed, and feel the college spirit once again.

On February 4 we were honored by the presence of President John Dickey who made his first trip to Pittsburgh in five years. The visit was the occasion of a dinner at the Gateway Center.
