Gentlemen:

A review of the past year's activities of the Dartmouth Club of Rockford, Ill., whose active members total upwards of 47 men, indicates that on January 23, 1956, Prof. Herbert R. Sensenig '28 was in town, and joined the club for dinner at the University Club. He brought us up to date on the Hanover scene and showed the film "My First Week at Dartmouth," which was especially interesting to some of the wives who have never been "Down East." On November 13, 1956, Prof. Chauncey N. Allen '24, in town on an industrial lecture, joined us at lunch, to everyone's immense pleasure.

Pres. John S. Dickey honored the club on Saturday evening, February 2, by coming out from Chicago, and gave one of his usual informal, excellent and enlightening talks about the College, its purpose, and long-range future plans. This was preceded by a cocktail party and dinner with the ladies in the Men's Grille of Rockford Country Club.

Those present were: Upton Bartlett '28, Roy C. Cleveland '18, Harry F. Forbes 'T54, W. Riley Franklin '48, E. C. Hoeppner '51, Felix S. Hourdequin '24, David Hovey '31, Edwin R. B. Rogers '29, and William Ethington, and O. M. Johnson, father of O. M. Johnson '59.
