With Big Green Teams

DOUBTLESS inspired by the tremendous play of the Big Green football team this past fall, Dartmouth's winter teams have already compiled impressive records in early December play. On the varsity level, the basketball team is undefeated in seven contests, the hockey team similarly has swept to six straight victories, the squash team has posted one win, wrestling shows one win and one loss, and the swimming team lost in its opener. Varsity totals show 15 wins and only two losses. The varsity track and ski teams swing into action after January 1.

Likewise, most of the freshman teams do not see action until 1958, although the basketball team has a win over the University of Vermont and the swimming team a win over Springfield.

During the Christmas vacation, now under way, the basketball squad plays in a two-day holiday tournament at Boston with Brown, Colgate and Holy Cross; and the hockey team also plays in a Boston tournament, against Boston College, Boston University and Northeastern.
