An open house for successful applicants for the class of 1962 and their parents was held on May 11, at the University Club in Boston. Professor Herbert Sensenig of the German Department and Harcourt Perry '54 gave short talks and a movie of life at Dartmouth was shown. Once again a good turn out was had. This activity has been run by the Association for a number of years now and has proved to be highly successful as judged by the enthusiasm of the applicants and their parents.
The Association is sponsoring, with the Harvard Club of Boston, a Dartmouth-Harvard pre-game dance to be held at the Harvard Club of Boston, 374 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, from 8:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, the eve of the game. Tickets may be obtained by writing to the offices of the Association at 24 Milk Street, Boston. Two bands will be on hand and a cash bar. A pleasant evening for those who take advantage is forecast. In addition, the Association has made arrangements for space tor a pre-Harvard game picnic in the baseball bleachers behind the Harvard stadium on Soldiers Field Road. The Dartmouth Band will play between 1:00 and 1:30. It is hoped that as many as possible will take advantage of this opportunity for leisurely lunch in company with classmates and friends.
The Executive Committee voted an innovation in the annual dinner by providing for lady guests for the first time. This dinner will be held on January 21, 1959, at the Hotel Statler — so save the day.
