Ted Baehr, known to stage and screen as Robert Allen, played a three-month stand with the stage version of "Auntie Mame" this fall in San Francisco. His rich store of anecdotes of his profession stimulated attendance at the weekly Dartmouth luncheons, according to Guy Carpenter '10. Among Ted's hosts were Al Lathrop and Tavey Taylor and the ever-buoyant Rollie Howes '27.
Bill Harris, American Express Co. lecturer, dined with George and Paula Bell in Hong-kong on his latest trip around the world.
Howie Haley died in his sleep at his home in Preston City, Conn., on October 1. Cause of death was heart failure - he had had heart trouble for the past three years. Howie, in company with Ivan J. Martin '23, purchased the Reid & Hughes store in Norwich, Conn., in 1937. Since that time their efforts have led to the establishment of other stores in Salem, Mass., and Lewiston, Me. The sympathy of the Class goes to his widow, Mary, and their four children.
Red and Frances Sanborn's daughter, Anne, and her husband, Dr. Donald R. Lombard, are living in Rochester, N.Y., where Dr. Lombard is an intern at the Highland Hospital. Anne received her master of science degree from the University of Rochester last June.
George Pasfield Jr., is back at Ursinus College with his bride, after two years as a Navy jet pilot.... John Phillips Jr. '58 is doing his Army service at Fort Benning, Ga. Younger brother, Bob, is a junior at Dartmouth.
Dick and Nance Barnstead have announced the engagement of their daughter, Judith Edith, to Manuel N. Francis, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Francis of Tyngsboro, Mass. Tudith is a senior at Lasell Junior College. Mr. Francis is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, class of 1958, and left in October for a six months' hitch with the Air Force.
Doug Blair's wife, Almira, had to have a les amputated last month due to a blood clot which came on just as she and Doug were about to leave on a trip to California. Doug is a lawyer in Point Pleasant, N.J., and Almira runs a large paint and wall paper business there.
John Frankland has left the Treadway Inn, Canandaigua, N. Y., where he worked for ten years, and moved to 115 Edgerton St., Rochester, N. Y.
Rupe Thompson is now treasurer, as well as president, of Textron, Inc.
Dick Beshlin has been appointed an adjudicator with the Veterans Administration in Newark, N. J., and is living at the New Tremont Hotel there. He has been with the V. A. in Trenton since 1945.

Henry and Lilian Scherp have moved from Rochester to 6407 Maiden Lane, Bethesda, Md.... Ed Collin's daughter, Elizabeth, graduated from the University of Maine this year with distinction, and is teaching fourth grade in Newton, Mass.
In a hurried conversation with Jack Heston in Hanover last month we learned that John Jr. '54 was married last May and that MacDonald '57 and Miss Ruth Lesser of Forest Hills, N. Y., were married September 13.

Dan Hatch's daughter, Katherine, Wells College '56, was married to James Stewart a year ago, and Becky, Wells '58, is an instructor in the Biology Department at Hood College.
Craig and Eleanor Haines stopped for a pleasant visit with Ken and Kitty Kent in Bellows Falls, Vt., last month on their way home from a football game in Hanover. Ken was much better than the last time they saw him.
John Turkevich hailed us in a restaurant on the Pennsylvania Turnpike the other day. John was on his way to Binghamton to speak to high school students during the day and to a meeting of Princeton alumni in the evening. John flew to Russia, June 23, with a delegation of twelve university scholars for a three-week State Department-sponsored tour which included Moscow, Leningrad, Kiev and Central Asia. Later in the summer he returned to Europe, this time with his family, as a member of the U. S. delegation to the United Nations Conference on Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy. The conference was held in Geneva and lasted two weeks.
Court Keller's daughter, Mary Jane, and Donald H. Rundlett, a graduate of Bowdoin, were married October 11 in the Reformed Church in Bronxville, N.Y. Court and Jane were ably abetted at the reception by Bill and Gert Heep and Warren and Alice Burding.
