This month's news written in March from Florida is full of gossip of the doings of class mates.

Thanks to the Websters who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in June, and have been touring Florida, comes a close-up picture of the Vails, Boyles and Drews.

Leon writes of a delightful visit with "Kid" Vail and his lovely wife, and with the Boyles in Newport Richey, where "Bernie and his wife live happily surrounded by orange groves." You remember Bernie was an Immigration Inspector for the Government for many years and travelled widely but never got around to Hanover, N.H., to a reunion. Neither has "Kid" Vail. 1959 and our 55th coming up next year. Hope they can make it.

The other interesting and delightful call came for the Websters at the beautiful home of Mrs. Drew at Anna Maria, Fla. Carrie plans to sail with friends this summer to the land of "The Midnight Sun" and on to Europe. Bon voyage to you, Mrs. "Pitt" Drew.

Lots of news comes from the Sanborns. First a nice letter from Bruce and Mrs. Sanborn, just about to land in Honolulu from the Steamship Cleveland of the American President Line. Bruce writes, his older son Bruce Jr., has just been made Secretary of the Di Giorio Fruit Company of San Francisco and Ted, who is President of the North Central Life Insurance Company, is a busy man too.

The Sanborns have a lovely summer home in Lenox, Mass., and Mrs. Sanborn has been a most generous patron to many worthy projects in the town such as, Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra - The Church on the Hill Congregational - and her latest splendid gift of ten thousand dollars, to start a record lending library for the Lenox Library Association.

Speaking of these travelling gals and boys. A card comes to Sally and the Secretary from Kate Sewall, who is, as of this writing, March 27, in Hawaii. It was nice to hear from her.

"'Thanks to Jack Childs '07 comes a clipping about our Johnnie Watson of Cleveland, Ohio, who will be among the dozen outstanding lawyers of that city to be honored by the Cleveland Bar Association for 50 years in the legal practice. Sixty years of service to Blackstone and his tomes. A salute to Johnnie.

Word comes from Amasa and Dorothy Bowles of Charleston, N.H., of the arrival of a grandson. Betty, the mother, has been associated with the Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover for many years. The details of this great event the secretary cannot give since he left the note at home, 1500 miles away. Anyway, hearty congratulations all around.

While in Vero Beach the Johnsons were delighted with a call from the Edgerleys. We were very happy to see them - they have been staying at Delray Beach.

The Johnsons are also looking forward to a call from Mrs. Harriett Muchemore of Deland, Fla.

Arrangements have been made with the Bursar of Dartmouth College for a reunion June 6, 7, and 8 at commencement time. All you need to do is to write the Bursar for reservations which should be done at once.
