The season of North Jersey activities officially got underway, Thursday, November 13,at West Orange's smart Bow and ArrowManor. The occasion was our annual jointsmoker with the Cornell Club of EssexCounty, which is planned each year duringthe week prior to the gridiron scrap of thetwo North Country stalwarts. Feature attraction of this year's meeting was Cornell's crewcoach, "Stork" Sanford, who discussed in entertaining fashion Cornell's all-victorious tripto the Henley Regatta in England, earlierthis year. Films accompanied the talk. Musicwas supplied by The Riffs and the HootMons, a pair of local singing groups.

In addition to our smoker, there has been considerable activity by various members in work not' officially identified with the Club, including capital gifts campaigning and the normal quota of enrollment work.

Thursday, January 29, has been tentatively set for an all-New York area Ivy League champion football dinner at the Hotel Astor. The Northern New Jersey Association will actively promote this affair along with the New York Club and the Westchester and Long Island alumni groups, in place of its own annual dinner. Exact details of this event will be forthcoming by mail.

Wednesday, March 25, will find the Glee Club visiting in this area under our own auspices plus those of the Madison Y.M.C.A. Locale of the concert is the Madison High School Auditorium. Danny Provost '41, head of the "Y," is one of the- sparkplugs behind this event. More on this later.
