Our two dependables, Aborn and Batcheldor, plus word from Brown, Humphrey,Drake, Remsen, Maddalena, Larmon, Palmer,Hands, Hinman, Westcott, Sisson, and Knight proved more holiday spirit than class news. It is inconceivable that we have gone so much out of character, so that we are all just sitting, but so it would seem.
A call from Rosie Hinman was pleasant. He reports having had all of his teeth out, and the big problem concerned his inability to whistle. I had visited our old bailiwick at New Britain and it was nice to be able to tell him that Dick Pritchard was now in the pink. Rosie is planning on Florida again in late January. This is the type of news that Ducky Drake had in mind when he suggested a check on winter migrations.
Mart and Kathleen Remsen are leaving soon after the holidays for Scottsdale, Ariz., then to California, and back to watch the Red Sox make another start.
Harold and Martha Brown report on LizeWheelock's activities. Lize and Polly are at Avon Park for about six months, and as guest minister at Vero Beach, there resulted a very pleasant gathering of the clan.
Bob and Anne Noble live at the family home at Bethel. Vt. Bob has been retired for two years, and enjoys being near his two sons, one a lawyer and Vermont Commissioner of Taxes, and the other the high school principal.
And Bino Knight bemoans that Hanover Plain seems so far, far away.
Now back to Ducky again. How many have planned on Sno Bird? It would be fun to have a good representation at the Inn over Washington's birthday. Do come.
