Herb Follett couldn't swallow Dana Whipple's words in recent Notes that the oldsters didn't make news and to prove otherwise Herb goes out and buys a department store in Sacramento, Calif., and will operate it under the name of Baron's Dept. Store. New address 2873 4th Ave., Sacramento, Calif. Associated with him is his son John D'37.

Ned Kenerson sends clipping dated Chapel Hill, N. C., heading "How to Avoid Matrimonial Toothaches." Occasion, 25th anniversary of Grove's Conferences on "Marriage and the Family." Conferences named for our Ernest Grove, a pioneer in the development of college courses on practical preparation for marriage. Ernest at one time was on Dartmouth faculty and later transferred to University of N. C., where his subject attained national recognition. Starting from zero the article stated that these courses are now offered in several, hundred colleges.

George Ford and Bucky Lewers recently had a quickie roundup in New York, George leaving the same afternoon for his home in California. Too fast for Bucky to get George's address. When that pair get together never a dull moment.

If you read far enough in the April notes under class of '32 you would have seen a picture of Howard W. Pierpont recently promoted to Vice-President of Equitable Life Assurance Society of America. Howard is a son of our Harry. A hearty Pothole-esker to you, Howard. If you should see this, won't you ask your dad why you never see anything from him in the notes?

Ag Smith reports mighty cold winter at Binghamton. Used up most of his woodpile. When it gets too bad the Smiths just hole up. Prefers it that way to wintering in Florida or California. Already thinking of another fall trip to Cal. The granddaughter twins exert a powerful pull.

Bill MacLennan took time off from his garden to give some recent addresses on the Monterey Peninsular, his favorite subject. Bill is and has been for many moons a number one booster not only in respect to the Peninsular's historic past but also its potentialities for becoming an outstanding educational and cultural center as well as a wonderful recreational locality.

Jules Walther plans a round of family visits during May with focal point Columbia, S. C., to see a grandson some twelve years old. Put it on your calendar to send him greetings to welcome him back home.

Kid Cohen writes "no see" a classmate for a long time. Has been tolerably busy with Capital Gifts Campaign. Knowing the Kid, "tolerably" is an understatement.

From frank Perham a breezy note but so personal we won't use. Frank is one of the "see's" best correspondents, wish more of the class would get into the informal manner and dash off comments like "Andy" does.

The "sec" is off for the Class Officers Meeting at Hanover. Wish you all could be there. Expects to find Harold and Grace Hess and hopes the Frenchs and Kenersons will also be there. There is the makings of a lusty gathering of Potholers. Prosit.
