The Denver Country Club was the setting for our annual meeting this year. The meeting was held on April 22, and most of those who were present felt that this gathering was the high point in the year's activities. After cocktails and dinner, President Cal Fisher '32 called the meeting to order. He briefly commented on some of the highlights of the year and extended recognition to members of our group who have given freely of their time and efforts.

Don McMichael '53 Club Secretary, then reviewed the year's activities. Two innovations worthy of special mention are the obtaining of speakers for our monthly luncheon meetings, and the publishing of a newsletter which is distributed periodically to our membership. Sky Grey '54 has handled the speaker program and Steve Cowperthwaite '52 has edited the newsletter. Special recognition was accorded to Robert Fullerton '51, Ed Hunter '55, Steve Cowperthwaite '52, and Seymour Wheelock '40 for their excellent work in enrollment.

Ralph Rickenbaugh '28 then reported on the progress of the Capital Gifts Campaign and extended our group's appreciation to Hart Gilchrist '31, for his valuable work in the drive.

Honorary memberships in our association were presented to two friends of Dartmouth: Fred Perkins, a Denver business man who has been active in working with the high school boys of the city, and Palmer Hoyt, Editor and Publisher of the Denver Post, and a Great Issues Lecturer at the College.

Fred Long '11, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, then proposed a slate of officers and trustees for the coming year. Upon motion duly seconded and carried, the following slate was unanimously adopted:

President: Dr. H. Calvin Fisher '32; Vice President: Morton McGinley '41; Secretary: Donald E. McMichael '53; Treasurer: Robert

Cohen '515 Assistant Secretary: Steve Cowperthwaite '52; Trustees: Henry A. Buchtel '28 and Dr. William H. Wireman '43.

Dean Fred Berthold '45 then gave an excellent talk which was very well received by the group. So much favorable comment has been made on his remarks that we are hopeful he will be able to visit us again soon. Following the meeting most of us remained to take advantage of the fine music provided by a Combo which had been hired for the occasion.

Some of those present at the Capital Gifts Campaign dinner in Honolulu on April 3 were: (standing, l to r) Gil Tanis '38, suitably garbed as guest from the College's development office, Hastings Walker '21, Lou Valier '37 and Ralph Van Orsdel '38; (seated) Bill Monahan '51, Frank McLaughlin '30, Merrill McLane '42, Phil Kelly '48, and Jim Doole '45.
