Park Stickney sees a new light and is retiring from active service with the Warren Webster Company as Chicago representative for over 27 years. Park allows that he is going to be busy in a limited way but the pressure is off and the "rat race" is over. From my own experience, it seems like a happy idea and no one is more deserving of a respite than Park.

Ought eight was well represented in Hanover in October according to the Inn register. This showed that Percy Gleason, FrankMcKone, Art Wyman and Donald Comstock were in attendance. The dates sound suspiciously like football time.

Life Greely seems to be having a pretty good time in his Florida retirement. He has some interesting thoughts about it as he says — "I have to work harder physically than ever, hedges, lawns, flowers, shrubs, fruit trees, painting, repairing, etc., etc. But when the 7 o'clock whistle blows at 7 a.m., I can turn over and sleep another hour. I don't have to hurry breakfast or fire anyone from a job. I don't have to argue with union bosses or sweat all night wondering if I can meet a payroll, so I guess retirement isn't so bad after all."

It was good to hear from Chummy Bills in a letter which he sent to Syd Ruggles who, through some mischance, had heard bad news about him. Chummy writes as follows:

Dear Syd:

At the present moment I am very much alive and, therefore, it is unnecessary for you to write an obit. While I am still "kicking," it is not so high nor hard but nevertheless I do not own a seeing eye dog or a cane.

In 1951 and 1952 I was positively sick but the doctors were able to chase my TB bug so that my only worry now is a dash of arthritis. I have vacated Buffalo for 820 N.W. 101st Street, Miami 50, Fla. In the spring of '59 I visited Vero Beach and saw Larry, George Squier, General Knox and some of the other fellows. There is just a possibility that I will get up there again this year.

Art and Juliet Soufe are gallivanting about Europe again. It's an old story as Art has made some 47 crossings. A letter from Rome indicates that they are spending some time in Italy. By the time that you read this, however, both will be in winter quarters at 3010 Sebastian St., Fort Lauderdale which has been their winter home for some years. While in Florence they met Turner and his wife who were celebrating their twentieth anniversary, while it was. Art and Juliet's forty fifth.
