The go-Year questionnaire is still on schedule, but please bear in mind that we want this part of the job finished by May 1. Then we can go to work on the tough next-of-kin contact. That phase will be much more difficult. I am sorry to report that no further word has come in concerning the sixteen missing. Ellsworth has been active and there will be more to report later.

Your committee spent a lot of time and thought on the questionnaire but apparently not half enough. Now we know that we did not leave enough space for the children, not half enough for the grandchildren, and several other items are missing; such as honors, the wife's college, clubs, etc., etc. However it is going along all right, provided that you meet the May 1 deadline. Al Taylor was the first to return his copy. I wonder who will be the last? We now have 117 in, with 102 to follow.

Penny Aborn is digging deep in the barrel. He certainly finds all sorts of pictures. He was the only member of the class at the Boston dinner, where all of our era had a like record.

The Sunbird must have been a good gathering. Mart and Kathleen Remsen were ready for it. They are getting back in stride, playing a bit of golf at Sea Island. Bill and DaisyHands were there. Rufe and Dorothy Sisson will detour with Dutch and Lena Burnham for Arizona.

Wednesday, May 4 is the date set for the annual class dinner at the Dartmouth Club in New York. It should be good!

One more thought. Years ago when we were trying to get the class in stride for the Alumni Fund, we used the birthday idea with a money angle, and it worked. Now, we repeat, but only for news. We are lucky to have a man like Sig Larmon. Every once in a while when things don't seem quite right, I invariably turn to Sig and in answer to such an appeal, he usually suggests the interest of key men nationally. It was with just that in mind that we swing to the birthday idea, but it has not worked anything in kind with expectations. We want these notes to reflect the interest and activities of the class, and at the moment I am a bit licked on how to get it done. Any ideas?
