Congratulations to Phil Chase for the splendid results he obtained on the Alumni Fund from the members of 'O7 and their widows. Phil and Theora spent the summer at their Kennebunk, Me., home where Theora is recovering from her accident. It is reported that Bob Kenyon will replace Phil as Head Class Agent who wishes to resign after many years of excellent service.
Edith O'Neill writes from Lakeville, Conn., on Sept. 29: "Class President Jim has been in the hospital for the last three weeks with a.coronary thrombosis and is due to stay a couple of weeks more before he comes home to a period of six months without doing any work. I am glad to say that he seems to be pulling out of the situation extremely well, and I feel that his good constitution is showing up very well." Take it easy. Jim. we are wishing the best for you in your 80th year, and are looking forward to seeing you at our 55th reunion in June of 1962.
Bob and Lura Kenyon of Bow, N. H., were hosts to the Grebensteins and DonWilliams on Sept. 9 and 10 weekend. On Saturday morning with Bill and HarrietAhern we visited "Freedom Acres at Wilmot Flat, N. H., and then proceeded to Allan Brown's home and cottages on Highland Lake. East Andover, N. H., where a "cook- out" was enjoyed by classmates and wives: George and Fern Liscomb, Bob and LuraKenyon, Bill and Harriet Ahern, George andEthel Grebenstein, Don Williams, AllanBrown and daughter Mary Lindley, and Warde Wilkins '13 - A grand time was had by all. On Sunday we visited the Liscombs at their Richard Hovey House in Suncook, N. H., and then had dinner with the Aherns at Concord. .
Edward Ashley is back home in Evanston, Ill., after a visit to Vermont and Massachusetts.
Edward Cutts is in good health and enjoying life at Milford, N. H. .
Bill Jennings, Box 62, La Jolla, Calif., is well and enjoyed his 83rd birthday. Bill wishes to be remembered to classmates.
Cully Pierce of Littlebrook Farm, Dublin Road. Jaffrey, N. H., says "Drop in when you are around this way." Let's do just that.
Tute and Mary Worthen have returned home to Hartford, Conn., after a fine summer in Canada.
Dick and Lucy Lane enjoyed their summer vacation at West Falmouth, Mass. They have returned to their Boston apartment at 8 West Hill Place where they have lived for about forty years. Dick says that hurricane Esther gave them a real scare while they were on the Cape.
Bishop and Lura Niles after returning from their European trip also spent the summer at West Falmouth.
Albion Nickerson's widow Herberta Lundergren Kley of South Yarmouth, Mass., died August 10. Our classmates will remember her as our hostess at "Pecketts-On-Sugar-Hill" at our 30th reunion.
Harry D. Bruce passed away July 24 at Syracuse, N. Y. Harry was with us in college one year. Charles W. Staples died on August 29 in Spokane, Wash. Charles left college during his junior year. Our sympathy to both families.
