This is being written from Hanover on a beautiful fall day. If tou're planning a hegira to the North Country for Houseparties Weekend, there will be a gathering of the '51 clan prior to the Cornell game on November 18. Frank Smallwood and other Hanover '51's will have the '51 banner flying "out in left field" of the baseball diamond adjacent to Memorial Field. Bring your own edibles and potables.

For info on any other informal Class gatherings this fall, you'll have to read A! Karcher's scandal sheet. He doesn't face the same deadline problems I do. Your Class Committee is trying to organize as many football game get-togethers as possible. And it's not too early to start planning for next year. If you have some suggestions, how about dropping a line to Class Chairman Herb Knight or myself?
The bachelor ranks of the Class are being further thinned, although we have only two such leaps to report this month. Sandy McDonald marched down the aisle in Winnetka, Ill., on September 23 with Ann Geb hart of Glencoe. The bride is a granddaughter of the late poet-novelist Edgar Lee Masters. Bob Bowler's sister apparently had something to do with engineering the match. In addition to Bob, Indians present for the occasion included Pete Henderson and Scott Olin 'SO. The McDonalds will reside in Atlanta, Ga.
On July 29, Dr. Joe Lindner married Dr. Doris Beatty of Lake Forest, Ill., in that town. Jim Balderston did the honors as best man. Mrs. Dr. (or Dr. Mrs.?) Lindner is a graduate of Lake Forest College and the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She is a member of the University of Cincinnati Department of Medicine, in which city the Lindners are setting up housekeeping.
Merle Thorpe has resigned as president of Thermal Dynamics Corp. of Lebanon, N. H., to go with Luria Brothers, Inc., in New York City as Manager of the Technical Division. Merle will be in charge of Luria's diversification program, research and development, and the manufacture and sales of technical products.
Howie Read has been named a group chairman in the Public Service Department of the Greater Boston United Fund Campaign. Howie is Administrator of Lawrence (Mass.) Memorial Hospital and a member of the Administrative Practices Committee of the Massachusetts Hospital Association.
That's the news for November. There isn't very much, so let me hear from you so that next month and thereafter I shall have more to report.
