SEE YOU IN HANOVER JUNE 9, 10, and 11

At the time of our 50th Reunion there were 114 members of the class of 1906 living. Of this group 53 were present, or about 47%. As you may remember we won the class of 1894 Cup for having the largest per cent of graduates present.

This year (1961) as the time for our 55 th approaches there are 84 members of the class living so we must have 39 classmates present to maintain the same percentage. To date twelve members have signed up. FrancisChilds, chairman of the reunion committee, will be glad to hear from you as soon as possible.

In a recent issue of this MAGAZINE it was stated that, while Torrey was the oldest member of the class, Chidley was the oldest living member. Now the question of who was the first child of a 1906 member has been raised. My information is that Dan Hatch's son, Dan Jr., Dartmouth 1928, holds that record. I do not know who is the first grandchild but the first great-grandchild is Leo Martin Poole, born November 4, 1953. Bug and Edith Gardiner are his great-grand- parents.

A letter from Craw Bishop advises that he has retired from government service and also private practice. Hopes to attend our 55th. He would like to know if any classmate can beat his record of four children, thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

In December, Bill Bodwell was honored by the American Medical Association with an award of a fifty-year medal in recognition of his half century of service as a physician.
