The year 1962 has arrived and on June 8, 9, 10 we will be celebrating our 55th Reunion at Dartmouth College on the Hanover Plain. Let's make the most of it and enjoy ourselves before it is too late. For many of our classmates, wives, and widows this may be the last get-together. We have been assigned to Russell Sage dormitory on Tuck Drive which will be our headquarters during the reunion.

Your reunion committee on this historic occasion is as follows: Bill Ahern, Sam Bartlett, Jack Hammond, Bob Kenyon, Dick Lane, Bishop Niles and Bill Smart who will carry on with your secretary.

The Manchester Union on November 10 reports that our John R. McLane, senior member of the Manchester law firm of McLane, Carleton, Graf, Greene and Brown, has suffered a "moderately severe shock" which Dr. H. L. Sander says may be described as a medium cerebral hemorrhage. John R. McLane Jr. on November 22 writes that his father is resting comfortably at home, is cheerful and hopes that in due course he will improve substantially. "Judge," you have the prayers and best wishes of your classmates for a complete recovery and soon.

On Tuesday, November 7, William Sanborn's wife Edith entered the Halmemann Hospital at Worcester, Mass., with a coronary attack and on December 1 returned home where she. is now resting comfortably.

Bill Smart retired as a referee in bankruptcy in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts on June 22, 1960, to take a job as one of the two trustees of Whiting Milk Company in reorganization under Ch. 10 of the Bank- ruptcy Act. That job has been practically completed, and on October 16 Chief Justice Reardon of the Mass. Superior Court, appointed Bill as Auditor to sit and hear the automobile accident cases in Middlesex County. The work keeps him quite fully occupied, and he expects to continue as Auditor as long as his health permits. Ruth Smart, Bill's wife, is recovering quite satisfactorily from her hip fracture of August 1960.

Cliff Norris of Warwick, R. I., is enjoying good health and is looking forward to being with us all at our 55th Reunion in June. Edward Ashley is in good spirits and says that he will be with us then also.

Dr. Harry C. Storrs' son Richard '39 of 2000 North Hobart Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif., in behalf of the family express their sincere thanks to the Class for the large number of class members who attended his Dad's funeral services and for the remembrance of flowers. Richard says "we would enjoy having any of the class who get to Los Angeles visit us."

"Sam" Bartlett attended both the Dartmouth-Columbia and Dartmouth vs. Princeton games recently. I reckon that he enjoyed the Princeton game more.

William A. Grimes, "Bill," on November 16 died of a heart attack at his residence, 12 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston. He had a shock in November 1958 and had been in poor health since that time. Bill was a loyal classmate. I have known him since 1898 when we played baseball together at Asbury Grove, Hamilton and Wenham. Mass. We all will miss him very much. "Bill" Smart and "Dick" Lane attended the funeral services.

Philip H. Chase is back home again at A-221 Thomas Wynne Apts., Wynnewood, Pa. New addresses: Carl A. Newton, retired, 68 Dane St., Beverly, Mass.; Howard M. Tuttle, 219 Lowell St., Lexington 73, Mass.

The winter addresses of the following are: Allan Brown, Anna Maria, Fla.; Donald M. Houghton, P.O. Box 68, Anna Maria, Fla.; Robert D. Kenyon, Box 322, Anna Maria, Fla.; Fred T. Lena, May-Jo Cottage, Anna Maria, Fla. In January Harold L. Niles and H. Richardson Lane will be at the Gulf and Bay Club, Sarasota, Fla.

A Happy New Year to you all! I was born on September 19, 1884 which is my answer to several requests from classmates for this information, however I do not feel that old. Keep the letters coming, and be sure to make your plans now for your 55th Reunion in June. Keep well and Smiling too!

Secretary, Box 321, 8 Grafton Rd. West Upton, Mass.

Treasurer, 1278 Beacon St., Brookline 46, Mass.
