Well, we're through the Christmas season again and although a year early, all of you must realize we are in our 15th Reunion Year. After fourteen years our class seems to have settled down, so we certainly hope all of you can plan to be in Hanover come June. Jim Schaefer and Rick Landon are working on a great program for us.
At the Columbia game I saw Ken Young who has moved to Largo, Fla., right near Tampa. Ken said he took his family down in September and then came back up to Hanover for the fall. He has seen every football game and practically acts as assistant manager. Should anyone want to know anything about our team, I refer you to Ken.
A couple of months ago Dick Sassenberg was re-married in Larchmont, N. Y. His wife is the former Margaret Findley, a T.V. actress. Dick is president of Piclear, Inc. in Mamaroneck, N. Y., which manufactures T.V. devices.
I had a nice discussion with Pete Smith at the Columbia game. Pete is very excited about his new interesting company he and four other former CBS executives formed recently here in New York to offer complete services and techniques in the production of television programs. The name of the company is VHF Inc.
Dirk Kuzmier is very proud of his daughter Kerry who is nine months old. This is Dirk and Daphne's first child. The Kuzmiers are living in Hastings-on-the-Hudson just up the river from New York City.
During the fall Jack Jansing made a very successful trip to Europe to set up mutual fund offices for Bache and Co. in the various Air Force bases. Jack and Shelley are living out in Locust Valley on Long Island. With Jack running this part of Bache and Co.'s investment business, I'm sure their mutual funds sales will continue a very rapid growth.
The New York Times printed an interesting article on the Metropolitan Opera's coming production of Wagner's "The Nibelungen Ring" which is to be presented the first part of January. Naturally Nat Merrill will be in charge of staging this monumental opera.
Living out in the Texas panhandle, Amarillo to be exact, John Abrahamson is busy in the general insurance business. Last I heard Abe was still single. However, as he recently moved to a new house, I'm wondering if perhaps Abe hasn't been lassoed. I'll let you know should I hear anything.
Rog and Moana Barrow, and the children of course, moved over to Springfield, Va., near Washington, D. C. Rog is a teacher in the social studies at the McLean High School in McLean, Va.
After several years, as the Minister of the First Congregational Church in Claremont, N.H., Tom Crook has now taken a position in Manchester, Conn.
Another recent arrival from upper New England is Dan and Thelma Kenney and Dan III, now twelve, and John ten. The Kenneys moved from Dedham near Boston to Great River, Long Island. Dan is with an insurance company, with offices in lower Manhattan, called Buhler Service Corp.
For a short while Ray Richard lived a few miles from me in Elmsford while he worked for McKinsey and Co., management consultants, in New York. Ray has left these parts again I understand and is living in Marion, Ohio. When I find out what his new job is, I will let you know pronto.
Up in Ann Arbor, Mich., Ernie Marshall is teaching in the Geology Department at the University.
Art and Emma Kosse moved to a home in Littleton, Colo., near Denver. Art works as a sales representative for the Rocky Mountain Bank Note Co. lithographers.
The terror of the lacrosse field a few years back, Bill Scott, is now working for the Ryerson Steel Co., one of the major steel warehouses in Boston. Bill and Marjorie have three children, Andy, seven; Jeff, five; and Kathy, four. The Scotts moved to another house in nearby Lexington.
As the year progresses, I hope you will continue to send in news about yourself, because we are all happy to hear what is happening in the lives of our classmates.
