DECEMBER 1962 ALBERT E. SMITH, JOHN P. WADHAM

A lot of water has gone over the dam since September 6 last when a letter from Kid Cohen told me of Pray Wadham's desire to resign as class secretary. Anyway, after talking with Pray I accepted the job. Then came the great loss to the class in the death of Harold Hess. Pray has generously offered to take over as treasurer for at least the balance of the class year. With his help a new class list, as of October 2, 1962, has been prepared. We will try to get copies to each of you, 48 of us are still at it.

I have received some very generous letters from a few of you. Ned Kenerson wrote me, "I will be happy to send you any items that might be of interest. I am the lone member in Boston today." Please some more of you join Ned in his helpful promise to send on items of interest.

I must also quote from a letter of W. Frank McEldowney. Frank left us at the end of sophomore year but has continued as an interested and loyal member of our group. I think part of his letter to Pray, better than I can do, describes what Pray Wadham has done as Class Secretary. It is a pretty tough record to live up to. Here is Frank's opinion, written before he knew Pray wanted to be relieved: "You're an ideal secretary. You recall the names of our classmates and make their faces shine through the mists of sixty years as they did on frosty mornings of 1900 as the bell sounded its last strokes and we crowded through the Chapel door. There is another sentence for Laycock to unscramble."

A note from Farwell '02 to Pray tells of the death in Rockville Centre, L.I., of Mrs. Eugenie Corbett Dunn, widow of Morley Knight Dunn who died several years ago. Mike was leader of the band in our college days.

Kid Cohen is already on his toes with plans for our last official reunion in 1963. He has asked Dick Brown, Ned Kenerson and the Secretary to serve on the reunion committee. I hope you will all come out and help make as good a record of representation as we had at our 50th.

In closing please accept my sincerest best wishes for a happy Holiday Season and another good year in 1963.

Secretary, 13 Vermont Ave. Binghamton, N.Y.

Treasurer, 1822 Willow Rd., Cedar Village Camp Hill, Penn.
