Con and Grace Chellis spent the night of October 8 with us on their way south for the winter. This year they are not going to St. Petersburg as they have for the past 17 years. Instead they are going to see whether or not they like Summerville, S. C. Their son, Converse Jr. '39 lives there with his family so the old folks want to check to see how the young folks are bringing up their children. Their address will be 106 Pine Grove Ave., Summerville, S. C.

At the Brown game I was disturbed by quite a racket going on a few seats back of me. I turned around and saw an old white haired man passing out candy to the young girls around him. A second look showed that it was none other than Art Chapin.

Because the attendance at the class dinners held before the Dartmouth-Harvard game have been so small the officers decided this year to try a luncheon. There was only time enough to contact the New England members. Most of them were not in favor of either a lunch or dinner and as it turned out the first snow storm of the winter made it impossible for most of,the fellows to get there. However, Art Chapin, Randall Cooke,Walter Powers, Norm Russell and your secretary showed up. Through the generosity of our president the luncheon was held at the Fort Hill Club with no expense to the class or the individuals who attended. Needless to say we enjoyed Walt's hospitality very much.

At the Harvard game I only saw Ethel and Walter Powers and Randall Cooke.

Max Hartmann wrote Randall from Singapore that he was on his way to Japan after visiting Ireland, Rotterdam, the Red Sea, and Panay.

The class will be sorry to learn that BillWood passed away on October 15, 1962.

Secretary, 30 Harrison Ave. New Canaan, Conn.
