While an informal reunion in June has not been definitely established, the returns from the questionnaire appear favorable. The estimate of attendance as we go to press is that about 80% of the number who attended the reunion in 1959 would return again to Hanover in 1962. Commencement activities either as an official or a proud parent was the reason for about 10% of the negative replies. Here are some noteworthy reasons for other "no's": Nort Canfield - "We will move to Virgin Islands in March so cannot return so soon." Frank Crawford - - "Will be taking my vacation in Hawaii with my son, D-'52." Connie Kurtz "Will be in Europe." Dick Nye — "Too close to the Bermuda Race." Doc Spring - "Burned out after 27 years at my old address. This is the new one: 273 Main Street, Nashua, N. H."
On Wednesday, December 6, 1961, funeral services for Bishop John Dallas were held at St. Paul's in Concord, N. H. A second service was held in Hanover on the following day. 25'ers at the Concord service were Ed Griffin, a vestryman of St. Paul's; Lane Goss, and Park Merrow. Following the service, a series of informal and highly serious small class reunions was held on the sidewalk.
A most welcome addition to the roster of 1925 wives at our next reunion will be Betty Davis who took the vows with Line Davis on December 9. A Californian, she is the widow of Line's second cousin. They will live at Line's home in South Easton, Mass. The marriage was solemnized at Grace andPark Merrow's home at Center Ossipee, Park performing the ceremony. Line's brother, John, and wife, Virginia, were the attendants. Thus another bachelor of 1925 joins the great majority of the Class. In reporting the foregoing, Park added that Line's marriage was celebrated with "a modest expenditure of champagne and small black powder salutes."
Announced recently was the engagement of Jane Elizabeth Thompson of Old Brookville, L. I., to Robert F. Cubbins, son of Cubby Cubbins.
