Just thought you'd like a glimpse of some of the "Guys and Dolls" visited by Saint Nick in December. Both Bobby and JohnnyHenderson were thrilled with what was under their tree and kept Bob and Carol picking up ribbon and paper from the floor for two days — and down Connecticut way Al and Patty Ives were up plenty early to keep a date with Alan Jr., Paul, and David. The Don Gosses in Westport, Conn., were "all smiles" over the holidays with plenty of excitement among Diane, six, Jonathan and Thomas, three, and Holly, six months.
A welcome letter from Don Goss recently told of a great time had by all at the Princeton game. The "perfect finish was provided by Dave Replogle," says Don. "Coming up from Washington, he had a brilliant idea of reserving a suite of rooms at the Nassau Inn and serving cocktails. A partial list in attendance included: Bill Vitalis, BrockBrower, Charlie Fleet, Jim West, BobMalin, Foxy Wolfe, Dick McCostis, GibMurphy, Ted Spiegel, Dave Halloran, BobDouglass, and Jay Hague. Jay, by the way, is expecting his first heir, in January and has just built a home in Ridgefield, Conn.; he is with Doerr-Oliver in Personnel. JackRunyon is with C.B.S. in data processing, and Dick Thomas is an advertising space salesman for Time, Inc."
Fred Dorkin notes - "Harriette and I became parents for the first time when Rosalyn Gail was born on August 26. I am now located in the Corporation Department of the Corporation Trust Company at 120 Broadway, New York and live in Newark, N. J."
Dan Woodward is editor of a new Canadian publication entitled "Canada Month" in Montreal, Quebec. Dan writes: "With several associates I have undertaken to publish 'Canada Month' because Canada, to the distress of many of its more thoughtful citizens, as well as its traditional allies, is drifting rapidly into the most stifling variety of socialism, or worse. 'Canada Month' represents an ideological counter-attack on a meaningfully large scale."
In New Canaan, Conn., on Dec. 30, Charlie Fleet and Jacquelin Perry were married with Bob Malin standing up as best man.
Two guys that I know who have been called back into the service are Jack Tukey and Dave Burner. Jack is in the Navy and Dave is stationed at Fort Lee, Va.
