The "grapevine" reports that the FrankWallises and Lou Kimballs have rented a villa on the Riviera where they plan to spend a spring vacation and return in time for the reunion on June 8, 9 and 10. The Bill Jenkinses were in Hanover early in February as guests of the Larry Leavitts. They, together with the Wheldens and McKennans, met at the Inn for luncheon as guests of the Frank Kennedys. The Jenkinses incidentally had just returned from Florida where they had spent a couple of days with the LouKimballs. Stud Wright continues to keep busy in his retirement; he is helping "all his alma mammies" in alumni activity, being president of the Longhorn Hall of Honor Council and assistant secretary of the Falcon Foundation.
About the time this issue is released by the printer, the Leavitts will be returning from a month's sojourn in more balmy climates than those which exist in Norwich at this time of year. We hope to be able to report on their planned visits with classmates in Florida (Kimball, Gedge, Hexter, Robinson, Rogers, et al.) and then to the Bahamas where they will join the Doug Archibalds at Pink Sands. Larry also will be pursuing the interests of Vermont Academy during his trip.
It seems as though there's a continuous flurry of engagements of off-springs of '25ers. The Ed Obers have announced the betrothal of Mary Ellen, a graduate of Mount Holyoke, to James A. Reynolds Jr. of Towson, Md., a graduate of Georgetown. The Bill Thompsons report the engagement of Cornelia Mary Abbot, Smith '58, to James Carleton Emery of Little Rock, Ark., University of Arkansas '52 and Fulbright scholar in 1955. Scoof Newton's son, Marsh, currently studying in Hanover for a Master's degree, has placed a ring on the finger of Miss Natika Waterman of Setauket, L. 1., N. Y., a junior at Wellesley College.
Bill Barker was reported to have been in Hanover recently interviewing seniors for Western Electric Co. Bill Boies has been reelected president and designated chief executive officer of the Colonial Bank and Trust Co. Jack Norris has been designated by New York Governor Rockefeller as chairman of a twelve-member advisory council on alcoholism. A few significant moves have been reported as follows: Norm Clark, 1604 Taylor Ave., Seattle 9, Wash.; Jack Per-Lee (retired), 1 Dudley Lane, Larchmont, N. Y., and Bob Rahmanop, 506 Delaware Ave., Wilmington, Del.
