Spring seems to have finally popped out here in Western Connecticut and the activities scheduled by the club for the next few months should keep our Dartmouth community pretty active for a while.

Steve Mantle! '52 and Win Batchelder '19 have arranged for a special reception for accepted candidates to next year's freshman class. This affair will take place Monday evening April 23 at the Darien Community Association House. This will offer a good informal opportunity for the prospective frosh and the parents to become acquainted with their Dartmouth neighbors. Several of the fellows including Tom Spangenberg '64 and John Timbers '64 home on vacation have agreed to be on hand to offer their greetings to the new men and answer any questions they may have about Hanover, as the student views it these days.

For our annual spring affair this year, we've planned a dinner dance featuring the Modern Men and their five piece Hanover combo made up of members of the Barbary Coast. The site of this event will be the Woodway Country Club and the date will be May 18. If the attendance is as good as that for the similar lively affair last spring at the Stamford Yacht Club this should be another really successful party. Mailings covering details should be reaching the association's members in the near future.

Also planned for this spring is participation in sponsorship of another rugby match, probably in conjunction with our compatriots across the border in Westchester. Details on this are not yet available but will be supplied by mail when the schedule is finally set.

John Cole '31 has continued to supply the Association with its necessary leadership. Thanks also to his plain hard work we've managed to maintain an active program this year. Charlie Keyes '38 is the Club's treasurer and Steve Mandel '52 heads up the admission and interview work in this area.
