On October 26, this year, your Executive Committee held its fall meeting in the lovely town of Cambridge, Mass. Since we have twenty classmates who have passed beyond, an interesting discussion developed on how best to memorialize them. One of the suggestions offered by George Brigham was that a rare book be purchased "in memoriam" for each classmate (and so inscribed) which would be located in a special section of Baker Library. It was decided this would be worth investigating and George was commissioned to do so. It was figured out, if a few more of our classmates would pay dues to the class (send $6.00 to Joe Kurey, 14 Fen Court, Madison, N. J.) then we could finance such a program for everyone. Being immortal myself, this certainly shouldn't be necessary for a great number of years. After the meeting the entire committee present went to the stadium to see the Harvards play the Dartmouths.

We mentioned some time ago that EdRoundy had left the principalship of Exeter High School and wondered where he had gone. News now comes in that he has been elected principal of the high school in the Governor Wentworth Regional School District in Pittsfield, N. H. This is certainly a recognition of the great job he did at Exeter.

International Stretch Products has named David F. Squire of Ansonia Mills to the Board of Directors. Refuse to get into another hassle as to Dave's age but he is still in that "under 40" presidents' group.

Our far-Western stringer reports that Sausalito is now in good hands from a business standpoint, since A. Leonard Bjorklund Jr. has just been elected president of the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce. Lenny has been practising law in California for these many years and we certainly send him our congratulations.

The Upper Valley Development Council of New Hampshire has just appointed our Paul Guilderson to be executive director of this agency. Paul, recently manager of General Order and Merchandise for Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc., Philadelphia, formerly lived in Lebanon, N. H., where he was the first director of the Lebanon Industrial Development Committee. In that capacity he compiled an economic sales study plus an Industrial Fact Sheet for the City of Lebanon. He had also been a member of the city council, president of Lebanon College, and vice president and member of the industrial committee of the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region Association. Personally we are glad to see Paul on the job since we believe that the upper valley which we all know so well has a great deal to offer everyone.

Another item on education reveals that Pat McLoughlin has been appointed to the East Orange, N. J., Board of Education. Pat is a buyer of material for the printing of telephone directories for the Western Electric Company in New York where he has worked since college. He is a committeeman for the Cub Scout pack and for many years acted as coordinator of the local Red Cross campaign. During World War II, he served three years in the Marine Corps. He is married to the former Barbara M. Flynn of West Orange and has two sons and four daughters. No wonder he wants to be on the Board of Education.

Joe Lovell has just been named Manager of Advertising Personnel Development for the General Electric Company's Advertising and Sales Promotion Department. He has been manager of the Advertising and Sales Promotion Department's Exhibit Operation since 1959. Joe got a Master of Science in Journalism from Boston University and joined GE in 1951. He has served as a deacon, member of the building fund committee and advisor to the Junior High School Christian Endeavor Society of the Union Presbyterian Church. He is active in Boy Scouts and Parent-Teacher Association work. He is also chairman of the local Enrollment Committee for Dartmouth College and a member of the Exhibit Committee of the Association of National Advertisers, plus belonging to the Schenectady Curling Club. Joe will direct personal development and employee relations activities in his department plus administering the Advertising and Public Relations training program which has an enrollment of practically 60. He and his wife, the former Theo Cox, of Gloucester, Mass., their three sons and daughter, reside at 1545 Keyes Avenue, Schenectady.

We are authorized on behalf of the Class President and the other members of the executive committee to wish you all a very happy holiday season.
