"Johnnie" Richard Ward reports that he has retired as President of the Essex Savings Bank, Lawrence, Mass., but is remaining as chairman of the board of trustees and chairman of the investment committee. Just another indication that we of 1901 are getting along in years.

Noting at the year end that our class seems to have little news, Rev. Claude A.Butterfield reports that "On December 8, 1962, I have just returned after ten weeks as a patient in the Pocasset Hospital on Cape Cod, the result of a coronary which affected my right side and hand. I am now able to get around the house and go out in the car and to church with some assistance, and am very happy in this partial recovery."
