From all indications, at this time, our 10th should be the biggest Hanover has ever seen, and the best time we have ever enjoyed together. The "defmites" are growing every day and the "probables" are switching to a state of "GO" at an alarming rate. All of this makes for great excitement and the wonderful opportunity for all of us to exchange greetings, sing a song, toast a few, and extend our friendships. Dick Blum, Reunion Chairman, has a "tops" committee which has its plans well underway for giving us all a reunion we'll never forget. The "publicity boys" who are giving freely of their time to spread the word into every desert are: Jack Koerner, New England; Chuck Reilly, Boston; Martin De Gennaro, Connecticut and Rhode Island; Bill Hutchens, Brooklyn and Long Island; Fred Wolf, Manhattan; Jack Zimmerman, New Jersey; Butch Edgar, Ohio, Michigan, etc.; SmileySchoder, Philadelphia, Delaware, Maryland, D. C., and Foreign; Bob Purse, S. Eastern U. S. and Foreign; Dick Stanley, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota; Jack Levine, Central and Western U. S. and Fred Carleton, West Coast, Alaska and Hawaii. This team will be in touch with "you" to help you in any way possible to make your trip to Hanover more convenient and pleasant. Mark the Red Letter Days - June 21-23. Taint fer off, now!
Great news from Bombay, India that Anne and Bob Simpson are proud parents of a new son, Edward Carlyle, born on January 2. The Simpsons' new address is Pfizer Private Ltd., P.O. Box 667, Bombay 1, India. Also, congratulations are in order to Cliff Rusch, who will be the Assistant Town Manager of West Hartford, Conn., effective March 1. Cliff spent two years in the Army's CIC and in 1957 became assistant to the City Manager in Fredericksburg, Va., and two and a half years later went to South Carolina as Charleston County's Assistant County Manager. Cliff also holds a master of government administration degree received with distinction in 1954 from the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of State and Local Government.
Best wishes to all. Recently I read where "Happiness lies in stretching to the farthest boundaries of which we are capable, the resources of the mind and heart." The "stretch" to Hanover June 21-23 should be full of happiness for both mind and heart.
