It's high time I reminded you all of October 12, 1963. That is the date for the annual 1949 gathering in Hanover. Dartmouth night the Brown football game, the height of New England foliage, and your friends these are the come-ons. Dwelling on the beautiful colors through which leaves decay at a time when they are just coming out may seem rushing matters, but plans do have to be made. Limiting Hanover visits to once every five years is for the birds. If you haven't seen the Hopkins Center, this alone is worth the trip. If you have seen it, you probably are already persuaded to make the expedition. Further reason for planning ahead: reserve a place to stay.
One of the finest helping out projects: the "SS Hope," medical ship that sails to different sad spots to offer privately financed medical instruction, aid, advice. Indonesia, South Viet Nam, were principal stops. Dick hopes to return for another stint with the ship one day.
