Word has only just been received of the death on Feb. 3, 1963 of Mrs. Dennis F. Lyons. Our "Denny" himself had died suddenly in Tucson. Ariz., on June 12, 1937, after a distinguished legal career. At the time of his death he was General Counsel for the Northern Pacific Railroad. He argued many important cases before the U.S. Supreme Court as well as the I.C.C.
The Lyons were married in St. Paul, Minn., July 14, 1908, and had two children, Kathleen and William H. The latter graduated from Dartmouth in 1937, as an honor student. His commencement must have been a sad one, coming at the time of his father's death. His mother and his sister were in Hanover then, as well as many members of '02, celebrating their 35th Reunion.
It is fitting that we should once more extend our sympathy to the surviving members of the family.
