Dartmouth alumni in Germany joined together at the home of Orton H. Hicks Jr. '49 in Darmstadt on Thursday, May 7, for a cocktail party and dinner to meet and hear the Vice President of the College. A total of 17 Dartmouth men and wives were on hand:

Fred and Joan Hier '44 who drove up from Tubingen, Bill and Usa Cassell '55, Lt.Jim Abramson '62, Norberf and ElisabethHorn '54 who made the long trek from Bonn, Andy and Carol Toms '56, Walterand Ann Barney '51, Robert and Ufa Gregg'55, in addition to Ort and Janet Hicks '49 and their parents, Ort and Lois Hicks '21. Originally Guy Briggs '35 and Franz Pick'51 had accepted but last-minute trips to the United States prevented their attendance.
