On May 15 the Tri County Dartmouth Club paid tribute to Lou Wilcox '23, the first president of the Club. Lou Wilcox has retired from the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company and is moving back to the Hanover area. In order to help him enjoy his retirement, the Club gave him a "Dartmouth Captain's Chair." Over thirty Dartmouth men and their wives turned out to pay a well-deserved tribute to a man who has given a great deal of himself to all of Dartmouth's Alumni activities.
Our new president, Dick Sameth '59, gave an inscribed gavel to Kirby Fowler '56, who served as the Club's president for the last two years. John Monahan '45 was named vice-president of the Club and Skip Hetfield '56 was returned to his position of treasurer.
The Tri County Club plans to continue the activities which prompted so many recent and not-so-recent grads to turn out for its meetings last year. Since our spring reception for high school students was an important factor in bringing about the substantial improvement in our regional enrollment, this program will be strengthened this year.
All Dartmouth Alumni in Union, Somerset and Middlesex Counties are invited to all of the Club's activities.
