Hello again. I hope this issue finds you all as freezing and snowbound as we are here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Sky Blue Waters, and Nine-month Winters. Guess not everybody fights the cold, though, as I see that Dave Greenstein is spending his time in Bukoba, Tanganyika as a teacher. He's with the Peace Corps, I presume. Another '60 who's fled to the sun belt is Mike O'Keeffe who is in Phoenix, Ariz., at the American Institute of Foreign Trade. Lucky guys!
I've just received word of some weddings that took place way last fall so they may be old news to many of you. Nevertheless, Tom Van Winkle was married to Marilyn Carlsmith last September 4. The ceremony took place in Hawaii. (I suppose they came to the States for their honeymoon!) The Van Winkles are now in Washington, D. C., or they will be shortly. Tom is in the Army after graduating from Stanford Law School. Russ Brooks and Pat Rodenrys were married back on September 7. They are now living in New York where Russ is on the faculty of Columbia Law School. Bob Postel and his new bride, the former Jane Edelstein, are also living in New York City. The Postels were married in November. Bob attended Harvard Law School and is now with the National City Bank.
Dick Ossen writes from New York and cordially invites anyone going to the World's Fair to stay at his place. Dick graduated from Wharton last year and is now with Young and Rubicam, advertising. He and his wife Phyllis were blessed with a little one last August 21—Stephen. The Ossens seem to run into many classmates at ball games and such. He reports that: Bill Gouldis out of the Navy; Al Glick lives up in Westchester and works in the city, as does Reuel Stanley, and also that he saw a whole wad of '60's at the Columbia game.
A note from Bill and Jane Gundy tells us that they are now living in Natick, Mass. Bill is with IBM in sales, and according to his wife, is doing very well. They report exceedingly good times up at Dartmouth with the Chases and Bowlbys at Dick and Elaine's old house outside of Hanover.
I think the Hoynes have now taken the lead, but I may be wrong. John and Genie had son number two on November 26. That makes four children in all. John works for Benton and Bowles in New York and he is planning to build a house in Pinebrook, N. J., to provide shelter for his ever-in-creasing tribe. Lee and Toni Horschuian write from Kansas City, where Lee is with Kodak. They now have two sons, the latest edition was born sometime last summer. Sam and Rita Bowlby are in New Haven while Sam goes to Yale Law School. Rita is teaching school and taking care of daughter Karen who must be about three years old by now.
Bill and Carolynne Hibbs are living in Sacramento, Calif. They now have three children, Steve, 80, and Sheri, and two dogs. Bill is working for 3M and is their sales representative in Northern California and Nevada.
Where are they now and what are they doing? To the best of my knowledge: WindyBremer is in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he is a senior in medical school. Barry Bedders is in Cambridge, Mass., where he is a construction supervisor for Warren Brother Roads Co. Dave Chevrier is in Newton, Mass., where he is a student at AndoverNewton Theological Seminary. Joe Mandel is in New Haven where he is a law student. George Mundt is in Binghamton, N. Y., where he is a financial analyst for G.E. Ken Rosenfield is in Philadelphia where he is a student at the University of Penn Dental School. Bob Harrach is in Boulder, Colo., where he is a physicist for the National Bureau of Standards. John Burr is in Rochester, N. Y., where he is a quality control test supervisor for the Xerox Corporation. Chuck Backus is in New York where he is a student at NYU Law School. Dick Rundle is in Chicago where he is an executive trainee for Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co. And I, once again, am down in my basement where my daughter is about to rip up all our class records. So I had better quit before all is lost.
Write me about your life.
