Now that winter and its blissful piles of ,now and ice are faltering to the eminent domain of spring our thoughts here in Bergen turn to our Annual Spring Dance. This is traditionally the best social event of the Club year, features good dance music and entertainment, and also is the occasion of our brief, but annual, full membership meeting.

The setting is once again the plush Ridgewood Country Club, 9 p.m. the time on March 21. The donation will be $7.50 per couple and most of this amount will go toward our Scholarship Program. We expect that this year, as in the past, we will have a near sell-out, so if you want to get a group together and reserve a table, you had better get to it. Program Chairman Dick Grassey '54 reports that ticket sales are already running ahead of last year, and other signs also point to a very successful evening.

Another once-a-year event is the Club's tradition of presenting the "Award of Merit," acknowledging one of Bergen's finest Dartmouth men. Phil Van Huyck '24, last year's recipient of the Award, is expected to be on hand to participate in the presentation. Ralph Specht '35 of Ridgewood is chairman of the trustees' committee that is charged with the responsibility of making the selection.

The usual round of pre-dance parties is expected. So get your group together, make your table reservations, and we'll see you at Ridgewood on March 21.
