We should all send our congratulations and best wishes to Dick Brown for his election as Chairman of the Board of the Fall River Savings Bank. He refuses to lapse into innocuous desuetude just because he has reached the age of the gay eighties. He had quite a battle with one of those New England near blizzards a while back but a good citizen came along and pulled his car out of the snow drifts and to a cleared street where he was able to drive the rest of the way home, kind of tuckered out but all right again now after a deserved rest. He is still giving his time and talents to looking after the affairs of the Home for the Aged.

Also a letter from Pray Wadham was delivered on the same mail delivery which had picked up my letter written to him that same morning. He called my attention to the full page ad in the February MAGAZINE (p. 11) of Tucson Green Valley; also on page 10 an article on this development. I mention it because of the seven Dartmouth men, first of whom is our own Ned Kenerson, affiliated with the project. Have not heard from him for some time but imagine he is out in that neck of woods, or has been, getting his spring sun bath.

Also in the February notes for 1936, is a write-up of Roy Bergengren, son of our Roy, who is in his fourth year as president of Daytona Beach Junior College. His son David is slated for Dartmouth next year; three generations in Dartmouth from this one family.

I am sorry to report the death February 16 of Alton Pratt, a loyal and interested member of the Class and the Dartmouth fellowship (see In Memoriam in this or a subsequent issue). Alton was one of the first, in January, to send in his contribution to the 50th Anniversary Campaign, Mrs. Pratt and his son A. Kingman Pratt '44 have the sincere sympathy of the class.

At page 23 of the February MAGAZINE there is announcement of the founding of "The Ancient and Honorable Society of Later Day Letter Men of Dartmouth College ." Many of 1903 must have or will have this year qualify for this award. The certificate of membership will look fine framed on your desk or on your study wall. It will be tangible evidence of the recognition by the College of your individual efforts over the years in making the Alumni Fund Campaign the success it has been and continues to be with its increasing volume each year.
