On 25 January, Bob and Tinky Lindell'50, and Ted and Ellen Steinert '56 were hosts for the Paris clan at a wonderful dinner given in Ted Steinert's house. The gathering was such a success that a couple jumped over from London in order not to miss it, and others, like our secretary Jacques Bry '59, off skiing in the Alps, had good reason to regret having missed it. Patton Allen '26 and his wife, who have just returned to Paris, assured President ClarkMoore '43 that he was delighted to find such an active club. Another newcomer, Tom Peneheon '56, and his wife had just been appointed visiting professor at the Sorbonne, where he is doing research in the Berber language.

It was a pleasure also to greet Nic Jacobson '35; Robert Sterling '55 and Fred Pollard '53, with their wives, as well as such faithful members as Doc Stewart Jones '29, and Chuck Carleton '41, and their wives. Plans were made for the coming year's activities. Bob Button '36 and his wife will be hosts for the next meeting in April, and Larry Barnett '53 promised to have the club out to his place in the fall. Pete Lenzlinger'51 suggested holding a family picnic early in the fall. The idea will be discussed at the next meeting.
