JUNE 1964 HARRY B. JOHNSON, CHARLES I. LAMPEE

When you read these notes, classmates who have been able to attend our reunion will be in session in Hanover, June 12-14. Your Secretary will be staying at the Hanover Inn where you may send any messages and greetings to the Class. The class dinner will be at the Commons, Saturday evening, the 13th. It would be wonderful to hear from all of you who cannot attend. The ladies will also have a party with Ruth Streeter acting as hostess.

Leon Webster has done a marvelous job rounding up the gang. He deserves our sincere thanks for his efforts in our behalf. A Wah Hoo Wah for Daniel. Watch for the July issue of the MAGAZINE when you will read the whole story of the Reunion. The Sam Occum bank which Herbie Andrews sent the Secretary at Christmas time is full. So Beck and Sally and Mrs. Hollingsworth, our very dear friend from Lenox, Mass., will be on hand to greet you.

Rev. Canon Charles Tubbs will conduct the Memorial Services, Saturday morning, June 13, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Beck has prepared a memorial brief on each of the 27 Classmates who has passed on since 1959. Saturday at midnight by the Dartmouth Clock, he will lead the Indians to the Tomb of Eleazar Wheelock. Sustained by a nip of Eleazar's five hundred gallons of New England Rum (by the way, this will be the last gallon remaining from the cache discovered by 1904 in a cave in the vale of Tempe - fifty years ago) Beck will again tell the story of the founding of Dartmouth College on the ashes of dead Indians. Sunday the 14th we shall bid each other good-bye.

It will be 64 years since we entered Dartmouth College as freshmen. The friendships we have shared for all of those years have enriched our lives. We have watched with deep pride the progress of classmates in service to country, state, and community. When misfortune has come, we have sent encouragement and cheer. We have mingled our tears with those of the family when sorrow has come to the home. Nowhere in life can be found such a rich relationship so fine and so sincere as has existed between classmates, except with our immediate family. "Blest be the tie that binds."

Jimmie Brotherhood of Grand Rapids. Mich., is planning to be with us. Spring has come, also the rains. The cellar is flooded - the roof leaks - he has personal bladder trouble - otherwise everything is fine with Jimmie. He is full of good stories, gather around boys! Ralph and Mary Sexton have moved — after 35 years living at 12 Mason Street, Winchester, Mass. Their new address is 48 Lake Street, Brandies 5, Woburn, Mass. May God bless their new home. Nice letter from Marion Woods, West Island, Fair- haven, Mass. She hopes to be with us. How happy we shall be to see you Marion!! and so many of our dear girls who are planning to join us. Dear old Squid hopes to be with us and he will tell us how the Alumni Fund is progressing. If you haven't sent in your check, bring it with you. Let's help him. IkeMaynard recently came down from Daytona Beach to spend the day with the Johnsons. Wonderful to see him. He will be with us in Hanover.

Charlie Tubbs recently made a call on Freddie Poor of Belfast, Me. Fred is 84 years old, retired from the drug business which he conducted there for 35 years.

We shall miss Pen Mower, Dave Ford, and Jerry Hatch. They are on the sick list. We shall send you a picture card, brothers, with our sincere best wishes. Keep your chin up!

The big travelers will be Child Lewis, BullTurner, and Major Sharpe - Strike up the band, boys!

Cheerio — Tell you all about it in July.
