The Class of 1907 came through once more. The final figure for the 1965 Alumni Fund was $8,937.43. The dollar objective was $8400. There were 146 contributors. Bob Kenyon, our head Class Agent, all assistant class agents, members of our class, Mrs. Joe McCann, the widows, and sons and daughters of the families are to be congratulated.

One of our oldest classmates, Bill Jennings, of La Jolla, Calif., has been in poor health for some time and more recently his condition required surgery. Through another classmate, Rocky Hazen, also a La Jolla resident. Bishop Niles learned that this immediate experience of Bill's might prove fatal.

As Bill and Bishop had been constant friends through four years at prep school in Somerville, Mass., and then four years as roommates in Hanover, Bishop with your class secretary flew to San Diego on June 25. There we spent five days, where Bishop visited his old friend daily at the hospital renewing many early memories. While there we were entertained most cordially by Rocky and Allan Perkins 'OB who drove us constantly over this countryside and we visited at their homes overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We returned to Boston by way of San Francisco where we saw much of the city and the countryside during a 24-hour stop-over. All in all it was a most satisfying round trip for us both. Bill wished to be remembered to his many friends and classmates around Boston.

Judge McLane and Elizabeth celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 15. Edward Barker and Agnes of Rutherford, N. J., celebrated their 50th on June 8 while visiting their son in Michigan. Congratulations and best wishes from your classmates.

The Dartmouth College Hopkins Center art galleries has accepted an oil painting by classmate Arthur G. Spear in its collection entitled Taj Mahal. Be sure to see it when you are in Hanover.

Our informal reunion took place on June 11, 12 and 13 and Middle Fayerweather was our headquarters. Those back to the College on the Hill were Allan Brown, Robert Bartoo, Phillip and Theo Chase, John and Helena Crocker, Mrs. Willard H. Cummings (Helen), George and Ethel Grebenstein, Robert and Lura Kenyon, George and Fern Liscomb and Robert Lyon. On Saturday morning we went to South Strafford, Vt., where Crick Crocker and Helena were our hosts at their residence for a cocktail hour, after which we proceeded to Buena Vista Farm for lunch. In the evening we had dinner at the Log Cabin, after which we enjoyed a "sing out" with the Class of 1904 at their headquarters. A good time was had by all. On Sunday morning Lura Kenyon drove Bob, Allan Brown, Ethel and myself up to North Haverhill, N. H., where we visited with Harley and Mattie Mann for a short time.

Walter S. Nesmith, our classmate who was the former principal of the Nashua High School, had his 88th birthday on April 25. Walter is our oldest living classmate and is enjoying good health.

Dr. William D. Walker of Exeter, N. H., married Emily Carrell on June 12. Ethel and I visited them recently and they are very happy.

New address: Robert T. Stokes is now residing at 11 Knollwood Drive, Newtown, Conn. 06470.

Herbert and Gertrude Mitchell of La Grange, Ill., are enjoying life and celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on June 1. Best wishes, always.

Word has just been received that William A. Martin (Runt) died on August 21, and William Jennings passed away on August 29. See In Memoriam in the November issue.

The death of Sidney C. Hayward '26, secretary of the College for many years and a man dedicated to Dartmouth, will be greatly missed by us all. Our sincere sympathy to his family and colleagues.
