I was in Washington a short time ago visiting my daughter and son-in-law, and tried to call three VIP's in the area. DukeBarto, Panes George, and Percy Russell were not at home, probably spending the afternoon cruising down the Potomac on their yachts. ... Have had nice correspondence from Shep Stone, Bob Lyle, NickyNickerson, Cal Soriero and Cart Strickland. It was very nice hearing from them.

We received a letter from Forest Brown who lives in Lakeport, N. H. We were saddened to learn that he lost his wife, Barbara, last June as the result of a tragic accident. A few months later, he lost a son who was a space scientist at M.I.T. Our deep sympathy is extended to Forest and the remaining members of his family. He may be with us for part of the time at reunion. He sees Art Nighswander in Laconia and Rog Turnbull in Bristol quite often.
